Part-Time Epidemiologist / Scientific Analyst – Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Response Location: Remote / CDC Support (Atlanta, GA preferred) Hours: Approximately 5-20 hours per week Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Epidemiologist / Scientific Analyst to support the CDC during ongoing viral hemorrhagic fever outbreak response activities. The individual will support outbreak investigations, data analysis, scientific reporting, and emergency response activities related to Ebola and other high-consequence pathogens. This position serves as a scientific resource to CDC leadership and outbreak response teams by analyzing epidemiological data, preparing technical reports and presentations, supporting Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activities, and assisting with clinical inquiry triage. Responsibilities: · Analyze epidemiologic, surveillance, laboratory, and outbreak response data. · Develop reports, presentations, dashboards, and data visualizations for CDC leadership and response teams. · Review and quality-check scientific reports, manuscripts, publications, and technical documents. · Support Emergency Operations Center (EOC) response activities during outbreak events. · Participate in clinical inquiry call rotations and triage inquiries to appropriate CDC subject matter experts. · Compile and summarize information from multiple data sources to support public health decision-making. · Assist in development of scientific content, presentations, guidance documents, and briefing materials. · Collaborate with physicians, laboratorians, epidemiologists, and public health officials during outbreak responses. Minimum Qualifications: · Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Infectious Diseases, Biostatistics, or related life science field. · Minimum 5 years of professional experience supporting infectious disease surveillance, outbreak response, epidemiologic analysis, or public health programs. · Experience analyzing public health, laboratory, or surveillance datasets. · Experience preparing scientific reports, presentations, and technical documentation. · Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: · Experience supporting CDC, HHS, WHO, state health departments, or similar public health organizations. · Experience with Ebola virus disease, Marburg virus disease, Lassa fever, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, or other viral hemorrhagic fevers. · Experience supporting public health emergency responses or Emergency Operations Centers. · Experience with data visualization tools and outbreak reporting systems.
