Job Description:As the Director of Software engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and execution of high-quality software products. This role requires aligning technology strategies with the broader company mission while leading and mentoring engineering leaders. The Director ensures that engineering teams operate with high performance, security, stability, and availability, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of technology strategies and roadmaps, collaborating with product, design, and architecture peers
Define objectives, key results, and performance indicators to align engineering teams with company goals
Ensure the security, stability, and availability of systems built by the teams
Lead and manage multiple engineering teams, focusing on performance, technical development, and growth
Foster a culture of continuous improvement in software engineering and delivery practices
Cultivate self-organizing, high-performing teams committed to craftsmanship, scalability, and resilience
Mentor and guide technical leaders, fostering innovation and leadership at all levels
Maintain operational excellence, ensuring systems are highly available and fault-tolerant
Collaborate with cross-functional peers to develop decoupled and cohesive systems
Own performance management outcomes, setting high standards for talent and performance
Oversee the financial health of systems, managing both costs and revenues
The Ideal Candidate:
Salary Range: $$220,590 - $242,882
