Description

      Lead Growth initiatives in the class action market by developing new client relationships and driving revenue with new and select institutional clients

      Learn Verita’s service offering in class action administration services as well as gain an understanding of Verita’s other service offerings

      Educate and market to prospects and clients regarding Verita’s class action services

      Attend industry conferences and monitor competitors’ services, branding and marketing approaches

      Generate new business opportunities and facilitate the Requests for Proposals (“RFP”) process

      Conduct continual follow up with existing clients for up-selling and cross-selling opportunities

      Collaborate with the proposals team to prepare estimates, select the team members and track client engagements

      Develop and maintain an accurate list of prospects and clients within Verita’s CRM system

      Participate in weekly pipeline activity/call reports with team members to coordinate proposals, client meetings and other business development activities

      Collaborate with marketing department to ensure all sales tools and outreach programs meet client needs/objectives

      Other duties or tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

1)     Ability to build rapport, develop and leverage meaningful business relationships

2)     Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and manage individual daily activities

3)     Ability to proactively utilize sound judgment and decision-making skills

4)     Ability to think analytically to identify issues and creatively to provide solutions

5)     Proven work experience as a business development or sales professional

6)     Proven successful sales track record

7)     Market knowledge

8)     Proficiency in CRM software

 

The Director of Business Development role requires a high-level of interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to develop, nurture and maintain meaningful business relationships.  Also required are verbal and written communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders, to conduct sales presentations, interface with clients, research and proposal teams, and respond to client queries.
