Become a Design-Programs & Systems Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow.  In this job, you’ll lead a team responsible for enabling planning and designing organizations through effective use, support, and continuous improvement of key systems and tools such as Design Manager (DM), Autodesk Utility Design (AUD), SPIDA calc, Transformer Connectivity (TCONN) and the Building Renovation and Project Planning Portal (BRP3), and related platforms. 

 

This role oversees business requirements, testing, issue resolution, system enhancements, process documentation, training, and post-implementation support to ensure planning teams can execute their daily work efficiently and consistently. The manager serves as a strategic partner to planning, operations, IT, and senior leadership by aligning system capabilities, process updates, and communications with business priorities and operational needs. Success in this role requires strong leadership in a matrixed environment, the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, and a commitment to high-quality customer support, sound decision-making, and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the implementation of energy program requirements and delivers tangible reliability and cost saving results for the company, managing and tracking budget utilization to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and budgets.
  • Manages the development, maintenance, and documentation of model input data and assumptions to ensure consistent use of data.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support the development of policies and guidelines that enable broader strategies and objectives.
  • Identifies opportunities for improved analyses of data while prioritizing, developing and implementing improvements, including automated tools for monitoring and reporting operations data.
  • Manages employee performance and establishes performance expectations and goals aligned with company objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Provides leadership to teams responsible for the planning, scheduling, and closing of programs. Oversees contractor performance to ensure budget, schedule and quality performance objectives are met.
  • Contributes and influences the appropriate management of a $500M budget through oversight of contractor performance in the areas of safety, compliance, customer satisfaction, financial, quality improvement, and schedule adherence.
  • Develops and manages resource strategy to ensure both short-term and long-term success of the program. Manage contractor performance and develops and implements action plans/corrective action to ensure goals/targets are achieved.
  • Leads the development of business requirements, testing and implementation of new technologies accordingly to the program.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years of combined experience performing or supervising energy delivery.
  • Experience in preventing electrical service interruptions.
  • Possess a valid Class C Driver's License
