As the Data & Reporting Specialist, you will play an important role in furthering our mission by turning donor and fundraising data into clear, accurate, and useful information for decision making. This role builds and stewards recurring reports, data analysis, forecasting, and data structure across donors, Major Gift Officers (MGOs), and campaigns.In this role you will collaborate with team members across the ministry to ensure integrity of fundraising metrics and definitions. Collaborative partner who has a natural ability to cultivate genuine relationships with our internal team and external partners.Problem solver who proactively communicates workflow and/or deadline status to the team.Self-motivated, goal-oriented professional with a passion for helping fuel exponential ministry growth.Flexible team member who is open to taking on new responsibilities and easily adapts to shifting priorities and needs.Champion of children to belong, believe and become resilient disciples.Key Responsibilities:Reporting and AnalysisProduce recurring reports for fundraising performance and leadership needsAnalyze data to identify trends, insights and opportunitiesHelp explain what the data is saying and why it mattersForecasting and PlanningBuild forecasts and projections for campaigns and revenue planningSupport scenario planning and goal setting with dataData Accuracy and StructureMaintain clean and consistent data across donors, MGOs and campaignsEnsure data structure supports reporting, segmentation and analysisIdentify and help resolve data issues before they become problemsSalesforce (CRM) ResponsibilityServe as the Salesforce (our CRM) expert for the development teamPartner with IT on Salesforce updates, changes and improvementsTranslate fundraising team needs into clear system requirementsMetrics and DefinitionsBuild and steward metric definitions and reporting standardsEnsure consistency and clarity across all reports and dashboardsAct as the source of truth for fundraising dataOrganizational StewardshipUphold and demonstrate the Awana cultural values in all internal and external communications and relationships.Contribute to special projects, initiatives and evolving ministry needs.Embrace opportunities for professional development in order to hone your craft and expertise.What You Need:Bachelor's degree required ideally with a concentration in business, data analytics, statistics, computer science, mathematics or similar from an accredited college or university. 3 to 5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting, ideally in a non-profit environmentHands on experience extracting data from a CRM platform, ideally SalesforceProficiency utilizing Google Sheets and spreadsheet formulas for data collection, manipulation, visualization and collaborationExperience building reports, dashboards and forecastsComfort working with large data sets and donor dataAbility to spot data issues and improve structure and consistencyStrong attention to detail and follow throughOccasional local and out-of-town, overnight travel may be required.General understanding of the Bible and the Christian Church in its various expressions preferred.Experience with Awana Club, curriculum, resources, & solutions is a plus!Valid State driver’s license required.Eligibility to work in the United States is required; this position is not eligible for employment vi
