Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound calls from members and providers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, and additional benefits and programs.
- Provide accurate and timely information, ensuring that customers receive the support they need in a professional and courteous manner.
- Utilize strong communication and problem-solving skills to de-escalate conflicts and resolve customer complaints.
- Maintain a high level of productivity, meeting performance standards and call quality objectives.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on products, services, and industry trends.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues.
- Reliable high-speed internet connectivity via Ethernet connection (Wi-Fi not permitted).
- Ability to travel to the Richmond, VA office as needed in the event of prolonged technical issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a call center environment, preferably in a healthcare or insurance setting.
- Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare programs, including eligibility and benefits.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare industry trends and regulatory requirements.
