What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service Associate I at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for a wide range of duties that keep our store running smoothly and ensure every customer has an outstanding experience. Your daily responsibilities will include: - Providing exceptional assistance to customers by answering their questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring their shopping needs are met with professionalism and enthusiasm - Operating your assigned cash register to process sales transactions accurately, efficiently, and with a positive attitude while maintaining strict cash handling security protocols - Protecting company assets by adhering to all security procedures, accurately accounting for all cash transactions, and remaining vigilant against potential loss or theft - Keeping the store well-stocked and organized by actively recovering merchandise, ensuring products are properly displayed, and maintaining optimal inventory levels throughout the sales floor - Receiving merchandise shipments and assisting with unloading trucks, which includes stocking, replenishing shelves, and completing productivity-related tasks within established timeframes - Creating and maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful shopping environment for everyone by interacting professionally and warmly with customers, fellow associates, and leadership team members - Maintaining exceptional store cleanliness by cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, removing trash, and ensuring all areas of the store remain neat, presentable, and welcoming throughout your shift - Performing other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support the team in various ways as needed to ensure store success What We're Looking For: Skills and Experience To succeed in this role, you'll need a combination of skills, experience, and personal attributes that enable you to thrive in our fast-paced retail environment: - High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, demonstrating basic educational foundation and ability to follow procedures - Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments is highly preferred and will help you hit the ground running - Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required, as you'll need to accurately execute company policies, procedures, and training materials - Physical requirements include being able to lift between 30 and 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height, with the ability to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting throughout your shift - Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required, including the ability to remain friendly, patient, and professional even during challenging interactions - Strong organizational and communication skills are required to effectively manage multiple tasks, clearly convey information to customers and team members, and maintain efficiency throughout your shift - Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required to address customer concerns, handle unexpected situations, and make sound judgments that align with company standards Why Join arenaflex: Benefits and Perks At arenaflex, we believe in taking care of our team members, which is why we offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package designed to support your health, wealth, and overall well-being: - Medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision insurance to keep you and your family healthy and protected - Employee Assistance Program providing confidential support for personal and professional challenges - Retirement plans to help you build financial security for the future - Educational Assistance programs to support your ongoing learning and career development - And much more!
