Patient Credentialing Specialist (Remote)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Patient Credentialing Specialist to join our growing healthcare administrative team. This is a fully remote position for a motivated professional with a strong background in provider credentialing and payer enrollment.
Responsibilities
• Manage the end-to-end credentialing and recredentialing process for healthcare providers.
• Complete and submit enrollment applications with commercial insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Monitor application status and follow up with insurance carriers to ensure timely approvals.
• Maintain accurate provider credentialing records and databases.
• Verify provider licenses, certifications, malpractice insurance, and other required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with payer, state, and federal credentialing requirements.
• Communicate professionally with providers, insurance companies, and internal staff.
• Assist with provider onboarding and maintain credentialing deadlines.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in provider credentialing and payer enrollment.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance credentialing processes.
• Experience using CAQH, PECOS, and provider enrollment portals.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and credentialing software.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience credentialing providers in Florida is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with Florida Medicaid and Florida commercial insurance payers is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting multi-state provider credentialing is a bonus.
