Messangi is looking for a Compliance Officer who will be responsible for ensuring Messangi adheres to legal and regulatory standards in all countries where it is located, as well as internal policies, will be responsible for supervising and actively promoting compliance management. The main objective of our Compliance Officer is to identify potential risks and prevent them.
Responsibilities
Stay up to date with laws and regulations applicable to the industry
Ensure the organization's practices are compliant with local, national and international regulations
Communicate any regulatory changes to employees and stakeholders.
Develop, review and implement internal policies and procedures.
Identify potential risks and implement programs to mitigate them
Develop training programs for employees to ensure they are informed of any legal changes and updates
Provide regular reports to senior management or the board on compliance risks, breaches, and mitigation efforts
Requirements
+3 years of experience
Bachelor´s degree in law or related fields
Deep understanding of technology industry-specific regulations (e.g. Data privacy: (GDPR, CCPA), intellectual property compliance)
Ability to analyze complex legal documents
Strong verbal and written communication skills
