Claims Advocate

The Claims Advocate position is crucial for assisting attorneys with writing arguments, preparing files, and reviewing client files to create historical timelines, requiring professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the attorneys directly with writing arguments
• Preparing files for doctors to review
• Reviewing client files to provide historical timelines of events
• Maintaining professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in regard to sensitive information
• Identifying deadlines and reacting accordingly to necessary workload adjustments to ensure that files are handled properly and in a timely manner

• Strong analytical ability
• Ability to work independently
• Average to above average computer skills
• Associate Degree or above, or comparable work history in the legal or medical field
• Professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in regard to sensitive information
• Apt to identifying deadlines and reacting accordingly to necessary workload adjustments
• College Degree preferred, or comparable work history in the legal or medical field
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
• Experience in the legal field is preferred
• Individuals who have experience in any of the following areas have proven successful: legal field, medical field, social services, professional writing, claims/case management
• Individuals who demonstrate a passion for helping others and a drive for lifelong learning are strong candidates for this role
